항만 노조 파업은 현재까지 아무런 UP-DATED 가 없습니다.
다만 지난 07.01 일 DEADLINE 을 07.12 로 연장하면서 양측이 DEADLINE 까지 합의 못해도 파업은 없을거라고는 했습니다.
계속 UPDATED 해드리겠습니다.

WEEK 1 - MAY 16, 2014 UPDATE
The PMA and ILWU began negotiations on Monday, May 12. Both parties
released a joint statement on the same day, stating that they expected
cargo to continue moving until an agreement is reached.
According to the statement, they will meet on a daily basis and alternate
negotiation locations each week between the ILWU and PMA offices.
The current contract expires at midnight on June 30, 2014
WEEK 2 - MAY 23, 2014 UPDATE
The little news we have heard is from an article in today's Journal of
Commerce on the ILWU seeking a three-year contract (please see the attached

According to a CONECT newsletter to members, the ILWU are seeking a three-
year contract in hopes that Congress will repeal the Cadillac tax under the
Affordable Care Act.
WEEK 3 - MAY 30, 2014 UPDATE
A coalition of 67 groups representing manufacturers, farmers, retailers and
transportation providers urged the International Longshore and Warehouse
Union and Pacific Maritime Association
earlier this month to wrap up negotiations over a new West Coast longshore
labor contract before the old pact expires at midnight on June 30.
According to experts, these have not been successful.
WEEK 4 - JUNE 6, 2014 UPDATE
There was a false report in the press that the ILWU suspended negotiations
last week. The PMA and ILWU released a joint statement on Wednesday, June
4, stating that both parties are still at the table.
A media report suggesting a suspension in those talks was inaccurate. Both
parties remain at the table and are working to reach agreement on a new
coast-wide contract.
The current six-year contract expires on June 30, 2014.
WEEK 5 - JUNE 13, 2014 UPDATE
Both parties remain at the table and are working to reach agreement on a
new coast-wide contract.
PMA President Jim McKenna remarked on June 10 that negotiations are
continually pending without a timeline for conclusion.
WEEK 7-JUNE 27, 2014 UPDATE
West Coast port negotiation will most likely stretch beyond the
scheduled June 30 contract expiration and continue into mid-July according
to a spokesman for the PMA (Pacific Maritime Association). However, both
PMA and ILWU parties are “not expecting” any major work interruptions as
ILWU (International Longshore and Warehouse Union) workers will continue to
work.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection has established some interim
procedure to help facilitate the movement of disrupted cargo due to the
potential west coast trade disruption. (Please see the attached document)

No official announcement as the PMA and ILWU have kept a tight
lid on negotiations, but according to various sources the negotiation will
most likely continue into mid-July.
Truck traffic at the ports of Long Beach and LA is reportedly
slow and congested due to other issues such as chassis and equipment
related, NOT labor actions tied to the negotiations.
Some disruption at the ports is expected for the Fourth of July
holiday.
No official announcement as the PMA and ILWU have kept a tight
lid on negotiations, but according to various sources the negotiation will
most likely continue into mid-July.
